The amendment clearly does not grant magic soil citizenship. The author and co-sponsor flat-out and explicitly rejected it, without ambiguity, and they want to change the meanings of words like "alien" to not even include hordes of foreign nationals that invaded our country.

I don't give a shit because we currently have low unemployment, and a growing economy, which are conditions that make immigration a non-issue, if not an outright benefit.

Our government is set up with clear processes. If you want better specificity of language regarding naturalization and citizenship, you can go though congress to get it. Playing 'word games,' like claiming 'jurisdiction' is a term of art, and supporting executive overreach, is unbecoming of a conservative.

Unemployment is low partly because Trump is kicking these fucking foreigners out of our country. The other part is that he is convincing corporations to bring back manufacturing and service jobs to the United States, and away from these third world shit holes.

Since the deportation rate from 2017 to 2018 didn't seem to change yearly population growth rate at all, the workforce participation rate has been increasing steadily since at least 2014, and the white labor participation percentage has remained basically static since 2016, I am not sure you are right about that.

But, whatever the reasons, the US is currently a desirable place. Mayhaps we can hold off rending our garments and gnashing our teeth until there is an actual economic contraction.
