So, we have (at least) a tri-lingual homeless carpenter from the 1st century. Or, the local romans were speaking languages all over the place, because fuck-it-thats-what-we-believe.
Where is your proof that Jesus existed and wasn't an idea lifted from previous religions in the region?
Why, it’s right here in this magical book. Plus my daddy said so.

Jesus existed.

We have letters dates to 60/70/80 AD.

Jesus died in 30s.

It is beyond credibility to believe that people could get away with inventing a person from scratch within living memory in an oral community.

/

Leaving that aside, Even if you believe Paul et al were hucksters, there is no reason for them to invent the person from nothing.

I have little doubt that somebody was crucified as a Jewish messianic prophet. Dozens of them were.
But if you want to stir up an effective rebellion against occupation, you need a Paul Bunyan type figure. You need a message and a hero, and this was a good one.

There are billions of Jews, Muslims, and Hindus that feel the same about their chosen prophets. It’s about what your parents told you, or which religious charity fed you as a kid, or which holy book looked the best.

Feel the same?
The vast majority of secular historians accept a historical Jesus as fact.
Nor would I tell you there wasn’t a historical Mohamed either.
Paul Bunyan? What part of Paul et al was trying to start a rebellion against the romans?

I guess I was being vague. They all 'feel the same', in that their prophet was the Messiah, or True Prophet, or One True Speaker Of God, etc.

Paul Bunyan was a symbol for the early American settlers, of conquering the wild, the glory of Man vs Machine, all sorts of themes that helped inspire them to keep trying. Same as Davy Crockett, Pecos Pete, Buffalo Bill, etc. All real, or almost-real figures that were built into Legends, to inspire people.

You can be certain that Bin Laden is being built into a similar figure in the middle east, along with any other particularly successful "freedom fighters". You can see this with Che Guevara, or Lenin, or Kim Il Sung, etc as well. They're made into propaganda symbols for inspiration.

No, not comparing Jesus to a mass murderer - obviously, his movement was more of a Ghandi/MLK 'passive resistance' to Roman oppression. But the similarities are obvious.

Acctually - I believe there’s corroborating Roman records from Pilot and some other officials - at least to his existence. Don’t think his existence is contested by hisorians - I could be wrong.

Get rid of the illegal immigrants and visa slaves, and we shall see if automation is still a problem.

I am thinking no. When you kick out foreigners, automation becomes a solution to the demographic winter.
