Re: Socialism
It’s those books you read in high school that form your ideology. Animal Farm is the most well-written for that (“All pigs are equal but some pigs are more equal than others.”), and 1984 had the concept of NewSpeak which I didn’t fully appreciate in high school but at least when I finally got it, I had a word for the tactic.

Re: Socialism
Yeah they made us read that in high school too. I remember it well when I was kicked out of high school and placed in detention centers where they made sure we read both of them. Are they supposed to be the rallying books of freedom or something? All they did was indoctrinate a hatred of authority even while being fucked in the ass. Nothing has fucking changed I assure you.

Re: Socialism
Those books didn’t end in a triumph of liberty over socialism. They were more of an eye-opener. Dune and Atlas Shrugged had more of an impact on me. All those books seem like trash now.

Re: Socialism
Both Dune and LOTR are far and away better political books than Orwell's commie ass ever was.

Never fail to call out the Dred Scott Fallacy when you see it fam. And you see it all day, every day.Fife wrote: ↑Fri Aug 03, 2018 11:24 amWe've know that "IT'S LEGAL" is a lazy and disingenuous fallacy since back early on in the DCF days.
The concept of a Social Contract is Marxist hogwash. As to "consent of the governed," can we agree that "consent" is a pretty important part of that phrase?
What contract did Dred Scott join into regarding his servitude?
