If we fought an all out World War in the future, comparable to the last 2, do you think that all of the high tech gadgets either side had would get destroyed almost immediately and we'd revert back to simple trench large troop movement type shit? It takes 18 months to make some of those fighter planes, and costs over one hundred times more, adjusted for inflation. If we were fighting someone with similar tech, I don't know if we could keep making them as fast as they were getting destroyed. During the Iran/Iraq war, the Iranians had a bunch of F14's that the Americans gave them when the shaw was in power. Since the US was at odds with them, they couldn't get replacement parts, so they were very very careful with how they used them in combat with Saddam. I'm not really a war games guy, but it seems like these planes might not be the deciding factor. idk

If China is openly stealing our IP and designs, than it would work for them until we fought and went into a total war scenario. Then they wouldn't be able to invent and improvise. America has a knack for getting creative when the stakes are high.

China steals to innovate, sure, but in this case I think they would steal to exploit. All this techno garbage they loaded onto the F-35 is going to cost us an air war.

So is the carrier group concept going to cost us a sea war.

Today's location was at the county hall council offices. They have a jet fighter on a pedestal just outside the foyer.
My kitchen was parked about 30 yds away from it.



It came from Coltishall airbase which shut about 10 years ago when the Jaguar was retired from service. Coltishall is the home base for this film company where they have a large hangar converted to studios.

Tomorrow we are at an aviation club near the airport in Norwich and they have a large twin-engined jet airliner on display inside the building.

Aeroplanes seem to be a running theme at the moment with these jobs.
