Well, I will be at a functioning Water System that theoretically should withstand a pretty major quake, and there is a stream nearby, so I should have plenty of water to sell. But I always get a case of water in the rental car as soon as I get into arid areas like California.

My advice would be don't sell. If nobody knows you have it nobody will try to rob you for it, and water is essential for survival. Watch everyone else did of thirst and/or disease for tainted water.

I have no canned/stored food, no water or water filtration... And if you think otherwise I have a gun and will make sure you don't find out differently. And if I had anything valuable it was all lost in a tragic boating accident in the small pond down the street. Good luck, hope you make it.

FYI - Trip got delayed a month, need to get County approval to close it out.
That said, It's a small community near a public recreation area. People know about it, and people will come.

Yes, I would be in control of the water. In arid California, I wouldn't deprive people of water. BUT, I would barter to get what I would need. Fuel to get home. And I would get it, that's all I'd want.

Travelling on Construction jobs like this is problematic. You fly into these places and get a rental vehicle. So, no guns. What I do carry is a hand ax[hatchet, a sling shot, and my bag is ready to go with a bunch of Cliff bars and jerky, I keep a water filter in there and I keep 10 ounces of Silver for barter. That's about all I can do, beside look at a map and have a plan.

If others have suggestions, put them in the prepper thread, I'd love to hear them.

I know you follow my thinking on this issue so I'll expound.

Only people saving money are affected by the Stock Market, et. al., which is NOT most people. Jobs are not tied to the Stock Market either. Consumption is not a Stock Market issue, and production could easily be replaced with small business entrepreneurs. Even now, The Fed is doing this on purpose; I don't know why? Maybe Old School Inflationeering fears? My point is money isn't going to cause The Collapse.
