I get the point, it was more succinctly summarized by others as “democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what’s for dinner”.

The shock-value of the gang rape analog runs dry once people realize that it only holds true in majority-rapists societies. Plus, at least democracy requires a majority of rapists - monarchy can achieve mass rape (though not gang) with just one.

Also: servicemen versus civilian voters. The latter dominate the vote. Guess who gets to fight Forever War?? Not the civilians.. They do not pay the cost for that particular vote.

Amusingly, the merchant class does not itself run like this. You get one vote per share.

If corporations ran like America, you'd get only one vote per shareholder, and some of them would demand the vote be expanded to non-shareholders simply because they work there.. that is how absurd this getting.

How about..

One vote for every year of military service, and one vote for every thousand dollars paid in taxes (net).

If you served four years and paid ten thousand in net taxes (minustge gibs), then you get 14 votes.

Property owners get a seat in government, like true gentilhommes, and every one else can petition the laird for a redress of various grievances and whatnot.
