One of the political candidates, Alisha Topper (12 women are in the General), made a public FB post bemoaning the fact that her friends are Blocking her. I couldn't stand the irony so I posted. (I'm including it here to show how I get Blocked.)

I was joking about someone I knew on FB yesterday who is constantly commenting when there’s not enough “diversity” to suit them in an area. Whether it’s a restaurant, soccer field, cafe, whatever.

I said “Damn, you see black People like Peter Pan’s fairy dust. Everything sucks unless you sprinkle a little black people into it. A line of white people in front of a porta-potty is ‘problematic’, but sprinkle some black people in and now it’s a wondrous and diverse line. A bunch of white mechanics working on your car is a travesty, but sprinkle on the blacks and POW! Now your car is being serviced by diversity, which makes it superior by default.

Got into a discussion with a neighbor about politics. Older lady. She was taking about resistance and literally fighting the conservatives.

I asked her how much she knew of the Spanish Civil War. Not much. I asked her what she expects to happen when people start fighting. No concrete idea.

I pointed out that, though most of the violence is coming from the left right now, not many of them truly believe they will be fighting a real war, and fewer still have actually thought this through. When she got that point, I told her that a great many people on the right have thought this through, and though they are very well armed and can generally fight well, it is because they know the consequences that they have been so restrained. For now..

It sort of seems like she confuses social media with real life. I don't think she truly understood my point.
