OMG my mother and this song..... it lasted a long, long time.

Why are all the Gods such vicious cunts? Where's the God of tits and wine?

I vividly remember when that one would come on at the skating rink. It was always for couples dance, and all that was left on the rink were the Baptist girls and the fags.

For many the 1980s was Great Yarmouth's roller heyday, a time of dubious clothing choices and hairstyles when couples wheeled around the Winter Gardens to the strains of Spandau Ballet's True.

Leg warmers and big hair, the 1980s truly were a void of style and fashion.

It's in the pantheon, no question.

Although Double only got a one-hit wonder out of this one, I recall several spectacular round-trippers for the Fifeman in the company of this song in my freshman year of undergrad.
