Agreed. Goodell and the owners seem to be doing everything possible to destroy the league. Their business decisions don't make any damn sense.PartyOf5 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 24, 2018 5:43 amThe NFL has a problem bigger than anthem kneeling this year. Sacking the QB has become more confusing than the catch rule from a couple of years ago.
This link has a great video that sums up the problem in about 1 minute.

I was watching the game, and turned it off right after the penalty on Matthews was called. I didn't tune back in. I was so fed up by it that I skipped the late and Sunday night games. Won't be watching MNF either. The NFL seems to be actively trying to alienate their fanbase with every decision they make. Anthem rules (or lack of), catch rule, sack rule, etc..
Matthews get flagged because according the letter of the new rule, he landed with his weight on the QB. How the holy hell is a guy running full speed at a guy standing still not supposed to land on him when making the tackle. A FOOTBALL TACKLE. No helmet contact, no extra driving into the ground. If this is a penalty, then how is the sack by Payne on Rodgers, where his pick him up, tosses him down, and LANDS ON HIM not a penalty?
The NFL is losing quickly losing me. I can't say I'll stop watching completely, but I've already begun getting used to watching a lot less. Oh, and forget buying NFL licensed anything as long as this rule is in place.

Yeah, I definitely hated that too. The self-marketing is ridiculous, but the penalties for it were worse.Zlaxer wrote: ↑Mon Sep 24, 2018 7:10 amShowboating...fucking end zone dances...you name it...SuburbanFarmer wrote: ↑Mon Sep 24, 2018 7:02 amdecades? I think it's fading away, now that its so common. No more TO hidden pen in the goalpost etc.

It was Joe Horn that hid the cell phone in the goalpost. TO had the pen on him.SuburbanFarmer wrote: ↑Mon Sep 24, 2018 7:14 amI think it's fading away, now that its so common. No more TO hidden pen in the goalpost etc.
Hated all that crap. Give me Barry Sanders TD celebration. Now we've got Crowell from the Jets literally wiping his ass with the ball as a celebration.

The Chiefs look unstoppable on offense (as usual), but lack a defense. They’ll be knocked out in the playoffs as always. Same for the Bucs. Same for the Saints.Kath wrote: ↑Mon Sep 24, 2018 7:55 amSeveral unusual teams on the top 10 list after week 3. Both Nerd and my teams are in top 10. Chiefs are incredible so far. Bears can’t muster much offense (as usual), but at least they’ve got a killer defense again. Should make it to the NFC championship.
Rams are probably the most complete team, and the Pats are falling apart. They’re my pick to win it all.

Seahawks finally won.
So at least we won’t have a winless season.

And they will trade the player that secured the victory
What's interesting with that and the Leveon Bell situation is that they show players are running the league now. The prols are making the decisions. Let's see how that works out.
