Re: Trump's SCOTUS
I think this time the lies need to be thoroughly exposed and presented to the American people. This tactic of women using false allegations to destroy men is fucking out of control.
Confirm him or whatever. I think he sucks, but whatever.
We still need to investigate the fuck out of this. The stories are already changing and inconsistencies abound. They want to launch an investigation and I say give it to them.

Re: Trump's SCOTUS
I agree. I'm getting sick of reading about stories accusing person X of misdeed Y to great media attention only to have the accuser later say they made it up and the media quietly walks away from it. The damage has already been done, and the media is complicit in ruining people's lives all because someone looking for attention, revenge, or 5 minutes of fame lied.Speaker to Animals wrote: ↑Thu Sep 20, 2018 7:56 amI think this time the lies need to be thoroughly exposed and presented to the American people. I want this to used as an example. If it turns out it can be proven one side or the other is lying, then make them a pariah for it, along with any other co-conspirators in the lie.
I've heard that the other accused male in the room has also denied it ever happened. Now we have former other schoolmates coming out for their 5 minutes of fame.

She makes a FB post that read:
Her vivid recollection? She can't place the house it was at, the date it took place, how many others were in the room (it went from 4 to 2). She also says "it did happen". I want her brought in to testify under oath since she's so sure."Christine Blasey Ford was a year or so behind me," wrote the woman, Cristina King Miranda, who now works as a performing arts curator in Mexico City. "I did not know her personally but I remember her. This incident did happen."
She added, "Many of us heard a buzz about it indirectly with few specific details. However Christine's vivid recollection should be more than enough for us to truly, deeply know that the accusation is true."
Oh wait, she's already backtracking on that.
She was empowered. To what, lie? She felt empowered to help ruin a person's reputation because she was on FB and had a "you go girl" moment. People like this make me sick.In an interview with NPR Thursday, King Miranda was more equivocal than she was in her Facebook post.
"That it happened or not, I have no idea," she told NPR's Nina Totenberg. "I can't say that it did or didn't."
"In my [Facebook] post, I was empowered, and I was sure that it probably did. I had no idea that I would have to now go to the specifics and defend it before 50 cable channels and have my face spread all over [MSNBC] and Twitter.”
There you have the real reason for her post.King Miranda has also been critical of Trump administration policy on social media.
The propaganda media naturally has this story headlined as: "Accuser's schoolmate says she recalls hearing of alleged incident". The 90% who don't read through the article will take the headline as more confirmation that Kavanaugh is guilty. That's how the media plays their game to steer the masses the direction they want them to go.
Burn it all down. Mainstream media and social media included.
I need to take another week off from media bullshit.

Re: Trump's SCOTUS
isnt this just the democrats playing dirty after the republicans played dirty in 2016? replacing scalia with gorsuch was ok for dems, they didnt collectively lose their minds over that, they didn't gain any judges but they didn't lose any either.. now they're being dealt a significant loss and likely have more on the way. at the very least they want to push this nomination beyond the election, they were saying that as soon as the last guy retired. all this delay, dont delay, its all about the midterms. can the republicans get it done?

I really think prosecutions need to start happening. The Salem with trials would’ve been considerably shorter if the hysterical accusers also faced the stake themselves.PartyOf5 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 20, 2018 8:44 am

You can't prove a lie like this. You cannot prove a negative of an unspecified time, in an unspecified place. And the Facebook women is an idiot nothing she said is criminal and her "testimony" means nothing, it is textbook hearsay.PartyOf5 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 20, 2018 8:44 amI agree. These charges are unfalsifiable much like Chris Hardwick, he was rehired after an investigation turned up nothing but people still believe her, and she didn't cooperate with the investigation and nothing is going to happen to her.

You cant compare these to the witch trials. Witches dont exist, rapist unfortunately do. The burden would shift, you would have to prove you're not a rapist or sexually assaulted. That's impossible in most cases.DBTrek wrote: ↑Thu Sep 20, 2018 8:54 amI really think prosecutions need to start happening.
