I bet there's a scam going on to get FEMA Bucks.
Get meteorologists to hype a storm by announcing the worst possible scenario, then declare an emergency a week before the storm gets there. FEMA mobilizes, you get FEMA bucks rolling in, then just exaggerate the severity.
None of the FEMA bucks will be getting to Appalachia, it will be reserved for the Coastal Urban Elites.
According to the White House:
"The President's action authorizes the Department of Homeland Security, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), to coordinate all disaster relief efforts which have the purpose of alleviating the hardship and suffering caused by the emergency on the local population, and to provide appropriate assistance for required emergency measures, authorized under Title V of the Stafford Act, to save lives and to protect property and public health and safety, and to lessen or avert the threat of a catastrophe in all 100 North Carolina counties and the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians.
"Specifically, FEMA is authorized to identify, mobilize, and provide at its discretion, equipment and resources necessary to alleviate the impacts of the emergency. Emergency protective measures, limited to direct federal assistance, will be provided at 75 percent Federal funding.
It's a Fucking blank check from the Federal Government with only 25 cents on the dollar matching funds. Every State, Local and Federal Agency in the affected area is going to be buying whatever the fuck they want from office equipment to heavy equipment.
