We need a thread for this. The first election without the UK. It might change a lot.

I'm torn about which MEP political group to try and strengthen: Greens-EFA, or ECR. Leaning towards Greens, primarily because the Danish People's Party, which is in the ECR group, hasn't even fielded any candidates yet and I like the Socialist People's Party candidate. Don't want to strengthen the Progressive Social Democrat group, and I'd sooner just not vote than vote for anything that strengthens the ALDE group. I can't stand Guy Verhofstadt..

An overview from last year of the EUP's who's who, and what level of power/influence they hold in the EUP:

You voting Moderaterne for the EU parliament, too, Hastur?

I’m not sure. It will have to depend on the candidates. I’m often a bit more adventurous in the EU election. Voted for the Pirate party last time. :?

Heh, that's certainly a bit of a leap from Moderaterne, but while they're in the same group as several Green parties, they're big on personal liberty and obviously privacy protections... it's a reasonable choice as MEP's. Hope you'll get plenty of choices. I honestly haven't read what all the parties' candidates from all the parties here have said, so far. Just caught part of an interview with one I knew was running. I usually start studying their individual platforms maybe a week before voting... :shhh:
