Don't underestimate your opponent is a prime tenant of competition for good reason. While I don't respect the left morally, I respect them as an opponent. They are serious and not to be dismissed. They are in this to turn us all into kulaks.

The left is organized throughout the US and globe, they have a written battle plan and are extremely well funded. They also have the balls to hire protestors right outside the doors of Congress to protest a hearing. They are not restrained by any thoughts of fair play and equal justice. The average folks have walked away from their social engineering for decades; what has that gotten us ? We've lost the entire education system, the board room and government administration.

We only amount to an outmanned, outgunned insurgency. The insurgency managed to take the Oval Office and a few seats in Congress. This really only gives us a footing to further resist the Filthy Collectivists. We've shown them that insurgency can win, and has wide support, that scares the shit out of them because they thought they'd seal the deal with Hillarys 8 years after nearly 30 years of continuous control from Bush I through Obama.

We have to find a real way to push back. The right way is through the ballot box, but I'm sure it's enough, I just don't know what else to do.

If people actually start paying attention to elections, maybe there's a chance that we get serious candidates in there, instead of party-line Socialists and NeoCons. In the meantime, I've got kids to raise.

Worst case - a couple new social programs get passed before the economy collapses anyway. After that happens, all bets are off. Whatever you're voting for now won't really matter when the herd is spooked.

Dems will blame Trump, Reps will blame Obama, everybody will get more extreme.

What matters is how much is left standing, after the chaos begins. I predict we end up with a police state to 'protect America from itself', and a sharp right-wing snapback.

Possibly dictatorial powers handed to POTUS or (worst case) the military. Then it doesn't really matter what the budget looks like, or how many small arms you've collected, we're all prisoners.

Like I said, it makes no difference at this point. Things are about to change in a big way, and it makes zero difference what I do.
