1. The op/ed does two things:
1.a it states that his policy goals are good and are being accomplished. I.e. it makes the case that his platform is a good thing.
1.b the so-called negative part of the op-ed only hurts the "resistance" in that it's fucking audacious and insulting to the American people. i.e. it shows how fucking horrible this entire "resistance" thing really is.

2. He has a history of creating his own negative publicity:







I am not saying it was necessarily him, but ruling it out seems very silly to me.

The editor’s note on the Op-Ed makes me think it can’t be Trump:
