Economically, there really is no difference between old school liberals and Trump-style economic nationalists. We can work out compromises on tax polcies and whatnot.

Look at what happens in this forum when Martin proposes a different tax policy. It's usually the libertarians and neocons who vehemently oppose him. I don't really care so much about tax policies and don't see that as some core issue we can never compromise over.

The whole schtick of these shekel chasing ass bandits is to obsess over their ideological view on markets and taxes and pretend as if that is what distinguishes political differences when it really does not. The game is up and they need to accept they failed, they hurt America, and they need to go home.
