For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.
Anyone who argues that we haven't gone back to the moon because we don't want to spend the money, are delusional. Today, Congress appropriates millions of dollars for things like helping Pakistani farmers produce more mangoes($30 Million dollars)

We haven't gone back to the moon because The Left (women) don't want to.
You went to the moon because of the space/arms race with the USSR. You haven't gone back because there is no longer any need to go.
Future large space projects will be international like the ISS.

Dude, there’s all kinds of rational reasons women use to squelch it. My point is MEN would go to the moon for the hell of it if they could. I would. My boys would. Almost any man I know would. What about you?
p.s. I don’t mean personally go; just some mutterfukker going.

I wouldn't send men into space for anything now. I'd send unmanned craft.
Unmanned space exploration isn't sexy enough to get the budget passed though so they still have to send the occasional body up to close orbit.
We would be further along the path of exploration if the frail humans hadn't insisted on going along.

We know you don't mean you personally Martin. In order to do that you would need at least an associate's degree in physics. Those NASA rocket equations are pretty hard. Its no joke to design a working lunar module with oxygen carrying a person to space and back. Maybe you could watch the shuttle launch, assuming that there was a tv in the waiting room of the unemployment office...
