Re: The Armory - Guns, Knives, and Axes
Thanks for the snark, but seeing as I already did a preliminary search thought I'd ask the gun nerds on the board about the rifle.

I think I read that Antifa are fond of that particular model.

You could try sending them an email.doc_loliday wrote: ↑Sun Aug 19, 2018 2:23 pmWorking on it. I have found some documentation regarding the different markings, but I'm still not 100% sure on the date.

Close up of some of the markings.

Here are what some of the markings indicate.

The x with the star seems to indicate between 1937 and 1964 and my dad said his dad got sometime around the early 1950s.
The R indicated a rifled barrel.
PV is smokeless powder
The ELG is proofed and Liege.
I have a serial, but I haven't found how to fix that to a date. I may take okee's advice and email them. Either that or post on some of the gun forums that deal with this kind of thing.

Study: Demand for concealed carry weapons permits skyrocketing despite anti-gun campaigning
Issued CCW permits have increased about 275 percent over a 10-year period, from 4.6 million permits in 2007 to more than 17.25 million permits in 2018, according to a study released Friday by Crime Prevention Research Center.
The figure has increased every year and is expected to continue increasing.
From 2007 through 2018, women and minorities represent the largest demographic increase. When compared to white individuals, permits for Asian and black individuals spiked 29 percent and 20 percent faster, respectively.
