What if we re-designed the electoral to be counted by county instead of state?
I see on FB all the time “It’s time to get rid of the electoral college”.
Well, what if we did, and replaced it with an electoral college that is county based instead of state based?
To get a true representation of the population. For places like CA would be broken into counties and in turn SF and LA would no longer dictate the near majority of the direction of the state when it comes to the president of the US and other major votes...
This is what I mean.

What if we called a convention and made POTUS and SCOTUS glorified dog catchers, and made Congress a janitor level profession?

Looking back, I owe dogcatchers, and especially janitors, a big "my bad." Both of those jobs are real jobs. Honest jobs. Sorry about that.

I think some of the states go by county, but I could be wrong. If you want to use them in the overall tally though, you’d see counties taking on the shapes of representative districts pretty quickly.
I’d much rather see a straight-up popular vote anyway, and this is a step in that direction.

Repeats democrat talking points endlessly, but is too chicken shit to admit what he is.

So you’d rather see states like CA keep going to the Democrats due to three counties when the vast majority of CA is voting Republican?Okeefenokee wrote: ↑Fri Aug 17, 2018 7:04 pmRepeats democrat talking points endlessly, but is too chicken shit to admit what he is.
