Those Ticonderoga pencils were garbage, though. You could barely see what they wrote and the graphite had such a soft feel to it that they were unpleasant to write with for very long.

I always liked when I could get ahold of a #4 rather than the ubiquitous #2

I find anything thicker than .5 is a waste of good graphite.

Unless you looked at the mechanical pencil I showed it isn’t your generic pencil. It is an artist pencil that can handle about 7 types of graphite hardness.

If I need to do any artwork or calligraphy I’ll use my pens. But for writing and doing fine detail work, I’ll take .2 to .5.

And yes, I write small and detail work by hand. I hate using the computer.

I also doodle a lot, thinner the lines more I can do so.

The inexorable rise of identity condiments has led to hard times for the most American of foodstuffs. And that’s a shame.

My son Jake, who’s 25, eats mayo. He’s a practical young man who works in computers and adores macaroni salad. He’s a good son. I also have a daughter. She was a women’s and gender studies major in college. Naturally, she loathes mayonnaise. And she’s not alone. Ask the young people you know their opinion of mayo, and you’ll be shocked by the depths of their emotion. Oh, there’s the occasional outlier, like Jake. But for the most part, today’s youth would sooner get their news from an actual paper newspaper than ingest mayonnaise.

Both are trash. I only recently got to the point where I dont mind a little bit of mayo on my burger with ketchup. For the most part I dont fuck with that revolting stuff and stick to mustard based potato salad

Yeah I prefer finer point mechanical pencils. I used to like the thicker ones because I write very heavy handed but it's nice to take it easy with a fine point sometimes and you dont get the sensation of writing with a dull pencil all the time.
