Back in the 70s and 80s we had a real problem with that. People would just turn loose dogs and they'd start to run in feral packs. We'd have to shoot them down because they had no fear and would attack the livestock. The odd thing about feral dogs is if you start shooting them, they don't vere off their course, they will keep running at you. Just kill em and be done with it.
