Doubt it. We don't even do that here and we've had trains blown up since the time of the IRA.
You underestimate the lobbying power of our Security Theater industry.
Bitch you support it, you gun grabbing liar.

Well you can sit in 6 lane traffic jams on your way to the queue to be grouped by your government subsidised airlines or you could sit with your ample legroom and clean air in a high speed train and arrive earlier on any journey shorter than 500 miles.
500 miles , 500 miles

That is what a car is for. Americans probably do 500 miles in a month just on grocery store trips.

Can you imagine CNN tracking us down in the aftermath of a Flounder attack, and we'd be like, "wtf? I knew he pledged allegiance to ISIS, but I honestly thought he was harmless."
Oh great, instead of guns they'll be going after gardening tools.

"Tragedy struck as a man with a rake, a crazed look in his eye and what medical professionals are saying is 'the most syphilitic dirty dick I have ever seen' entered the same Ohio strip club where Stormy Daniels was arrested last year, yelling 'Allu Ackbhar' and 'in the name of NPR.' "

Here's another point I made in the OP
- Medical: Even after Obamacare, we are the world leaders in medical care, technology and access

Am I wrong ?

You are the world leader in medical research, technology, and pharmaceuticals. The rest of the world benefit immensely from all the research and invention coming from the USA. When you look at what healthcare you actually get for that price it's not that impressive:

Why should other countries want to copy the US? That would mean they would have to pay their share of the UN costs. Our allies would have to invest more in their own military if they wanted to be like us and be responsible for peace across the world. They would have to do their own R&D and build up their own education systems instead of leeching off the US and sending all their bright students here for college.

The rest of the world benefits immensely from Americans' lack of health coverage, and overpriced care. That feeds the biotech industry, which creates treatments for the globe.

Strange how the countries with socialised healthcare top most of the lists in Hastur's link.
Even the poorly funded NHS seems to come out on top.
Must be all the money we save by not keeping vegetables alive indefinitely on life support to placate all the God botherers.
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

Unless they decide you have to die, I guess. Then they murder you.
