If things keep going at current trajectory, there will be civil war and governmental collapse around the world. Militaries will take over to restore order and undo the damage that democracy has wrought. Most likely, "enfranchisement" will be limited to the warrior class. In America that likely will be a class with an open door policy, but most of you still would not serve just to get your vote. That is why we are headed down this road.

Government composed of non-warriors was always a bad idea at the sovereign level. Democracy is fine when limited to smaller, local issues.
Meh, fair enough. Really no point in voting between 2 corrupt representatives anyway. Enjoy!

Letting everyone vote is precisely why the system is so fucked. You think a warrior class electorate is going to vote for a millionaire socialist who's never worked a real job? That was non-serving stoners that did that.

There will be mandatory gym days though. I think that's the first thing we'll do.

Methinks somebody should look up military voting statistics before he doth shat of the mouth, lest he befool himself.
SJWs are a natural consequence of corporatism.

What, like on the internet?

The majority of us spend most of our time living outside of our home states where we can't vote locally, and our absentee ballots sent back home don't amount to shit.

There are no statistics that show what an election would look like if only military voted, because any candidate in a major election that a veteran would be voting for only got there by the votes of the non-military.

Active and retired members of the military have been showing far more support for Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton than for her Republican rival, at least as measured by the checks they’ve written to her campaign.

Individuals who listed their employers as the U.S. Department of Defense or major branches of the military, or who say they’re retired from one of those, have contributed a total of $972,709 to both nominees so far this year. Clinton has claimed $771,471 of the contributions, or nearly 80 percent.

If this seems surprising, consider this: Up until the primaries were over, the military favorite was Sen. Bernie Sanders (D-Vt.), who received $374,600. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) came in a close third after Clinton.

Oh God the fake news was so fake in that campaign season. I forgot about those claims.

Trump won the veteran and military vote by something like two to one.

Truthfully, you would still have liberals in this electorate, but they would not be that bad.

I was looking up Conyers the other day and it turned out, as corrupt as he was, he still opposed those fucking wars. He was even posting to HuffPost back on 2016, trying to explain to the lefties what a bad fucking idea it was to arm the "Syrian rebels" with kit like MANPADs.

This hits the nail on the head right here:
Exit polls show veterans played a pivotal role in Trump’s surprise victory Tuesday night, with those who’d served in the military breaking for the New York billionaire by a nearly 2-to-1 margin, 61 to 34 percent.

Veterans make up about 10 percent of registered voters nationally, with large concentrations in the key swing states of Arizona, Florida, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

In interviews, many veterans said they weren’t sure what a Trump presidency would bring, but that they thought it was important to reject Hillary Clinton, who they said mishandled classified information and was unwilling to reform a broken health care system at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

If people who voted for Clinton would have to pay the costs of her election, they wouldn't vote for her.
