The biggest lie I ever learned was that the public school system that I grew up in, in the aftermath of the cold war, never told me that there were millions of people in my country who wanted us to lose.

There has never been a greater lie told to me than the truth that the people who were supposed to teach me kept hidden. There were millions of people in my country who wanted my country to fall to the soviets, and once I realized that these people, who were supposed to teach me, had kept that hidden from me, I could never again entertain any ideas that they could be trusted.

One of my military mentors was in Infrantryman in the 1st ID in Vietnam, Iron Triangle, jumped out of choppers into rice pattees, Bronze Star "V" all of it. He fucking Hated Platoon and the way Oliver Stone represented the Infantry as a bunch of Pot Heads and wild killers. He said that shit never went on in his unit and no one would have stood for it. He said that shit went on in the rear, but not with front line guys.

When the Persian Gulf kicked off, the press told us how badly we were going to get beaten, a hundred thousand body bags and all that shit. My old mentor warned me that the Press secretly hated that we ended it so quickly and said enjoy the Patriotism and support for the military, you'll never see it again.

Trump says son's Trump Tower meeting with Russians meant to 'get information' on Clinton

President Donald Trump said Sunday that the meeting between his son, Donald Trump Jr., and a Russian lawyer in June 2016 was “to get information on an opponent,” seemingly contradicting a statement from more than a year ago that the meeting focused on a Russian adoption program.

“Fake News reporting, a complete fabrication, that I am concerned about the meeting my wonderful son, Donald, had in Trump Tower,” he tweeted Sunday morning.

“This was a meeting to get information on an opponent, totally legal and done all the time in politics — and it went nowhere,” he tweeted, defending the meeting and appearing to refer to political opposition research done by campaigns.

It is illegal for campaigns to accept help from a foreign government or from foreign nationals.

The president’s tweets seemingly referred to reports published Saturday in the Washington Post and CNN saying Trump was concerned about his son being ensnared in the Russia investigation.

The tweet was a significant departure from a statement dictated by the president and issued by Trump Jr. last July regarding the purpose of the Trump Tower meeting between Trump Jr., campaign officials and a Kremlin-linked lawyer.

“We primarily discussed a program about the adoption of Russian children that was active and popular with American families years ago and was since ended by the Russian government, but it was not a campaign issue at the time and there was no follow up,” that statement said, adding that it was "a short introductory meeting."

Meanwhile, Trump’s attorney Jay Sekulow said Sunday that he “had bad information” at the time when he gave a previous statement that the president had nothing to do with Trump Jr.’s original response to reports of the Trump Tower meeting. His attorneys have since said Trump dictated the statement on behalf of his son.

“Over time, facts develop,” he said on ABC’s “This Week.”

In his Sunday morning tweets, Trump went on to reiterate that he did not know in advance about the meeting after news reports that Michael Cohen had asserted that Trump knew in advance about that meeting. That would contradict Trump Jr.’s congressional testimony in May 2017.

i dunno, reddit went nuts over the revelation that trump was seeking oppo research, but he admitted as much in mid 2017.

i want to see what mueller has, or what he's going for atleast, seems like he's flailing around looking for anything, stormy daniels, trump's lawyer, porn payments, obstruction, collusion, ive read reports he's looking into his twitter history? fuckin hell man, during the entire hillary investigation we could all recite the title code that she violated, watching the trump investigation is like trying to follow a fart in the wind

the trump tower meeting seems relatively mild to me, and there are questions surrounding the russian lawyer and her contacts with (i think) glenn simpson, or fusion gps, or whoever it was, before and after the meeting.

i pray muellers team isnt seriously investigating if trumps call for russia to find hillary's 30k emails is evidence of collusion

The only thing I am certain about after this whole investigation to this point is how corrupt our entire system is. Hillary and a number of others surrounding here should be in prison right now, yet they are all free, while this investigation has taken at least 1 1/2 years and gotten nowhere.

At some point you either have something or you don't related to the original intent of the investigation. Now it's just a case of "wee have to find SOMETHING". Motivation isn't the issue, which tells me they have NOTHING.

Drain the swamp, burn it all down. We are getting to cold war Russia standards of justice in the US.

Thus the Government losses credibility/legitimacy, which in turn hastens the rate we speed towards the cliff.
