Giving your people a chance, What is the point?
Long story short I got a new co-worker from Arkansas. Big strong guy with tats all over from his stint in prison. He shows up when we were short as fuck on help because apparently my kike bosses got some sort of network going as opposed to just going to home depot (it happens) when this happens, which always happens.
Anyway, good guy. Works hard and doesn't complain. He already outclasses 9/10 American laborers due to this fact alone. Only problem is that I like him and gave him a chance to come work for us everyday. I told my bosses I liked him and wanted him to come back even though they know he has priors like B&E, assault and warrants out for him in Arkansas. All of this makes him virtually unemployable alone let alone the fact he is covered in AB type prison tats. But the motherfucker is still doing drugs. He told me about how meth had put him in the situations he got himself into and I told him I hate meth heads and dont trust them. He swore he was passed it and trying to start a new leaf but then the motherfucker breaks out some suboxone in my fucking truck the next day! Now he has missed two days of work. He was never scheduled for anything he was told to show up at 5am everyday. Now he stays at the hotel I do because the rate is better and I tell him I will pick him up today. Mind you, we didnt get back until 11.30 at night and I'm up to take him with me to work at 6am to be on time myself and what does he do when I go out of my way to help him while I knock on his door to pick him up? He leaves me with my dick in my hand. We were short workers again today.
I go out of my way to help my people and this is what I get. So I guess my request for advice would be, should I just let him fail or help him help himself somehow? Mind you this is a hard worker and a good guy. At least when he is showing up to work.
Like these poor White folk are my people but they fail so bad despite having it in them to do the right thing. What can I do? I'm kind of depressed. I was hoping to rehabilitate the image of the White working class American to the far more professional Mexicans but it is not going to fucking happen mein dude.

Sounds like you caught him during a ‘moment of clarity’, and now he’s backsliding, having received a paycheck. Let him go. If he wanted to change, he would have.

If you already warned him that if he continued using meth and missing work, means he won't get to ride with to you work and generally that he'll lose out on an ally or friend, then you should have no qualms with breaking all connections, stop helping him, and not bothering to give him a ride to work he won't show up at, anyway.
If you haven't him warned yet, do that first (as a first and final warning). Should make it slightly easier on your conscience. It's a shit situation you find yourself in, wanting to help, support, give a chance to someone who needs to learn how to integrate into law abiding society. He probably still wants to do all that, but deals with his fears of failing, with the pressure, in a way that his failure is guaranteed.
What's the succes rate and probability of groups like Narcotics Anonymous, on that note?

I've been burned by sticking my neck out for sympathetic cases claiming to be born again. It's cool you wanna help your folks, but a lot of dudes just aint ready for the opportunity you're giving them.

I assume so, too, but the reason I'm suggesting isn't for the meth head's sake. It's for Nuke's conscience's sake, so he can tell himself that he didn't just give meth head a chance, he also told him he was running out of chances.doc_loliday wrote: ↑Sat Aug 04, 2018 11:30 pm100% chance of this doing nothing.BjornP wrote: If you haven't him warned yet, do that first (as a first and final warning).

Surprised they let him walk around with those tats while being a meth head. I guess I thought they didn't allow that type of thing.

Does he have neck Tatts ?TheReal_ND wrote: ↑Sat Aug 04, 2018 5:02 pm

- The reason I ask is a friend of mine who spent his youth growing and selling weed, then got in the Army and got straight, later went on to work as a jailor. He told me never trust anyone with neck tatts. He had no proof to provide other than in his experience in the drug culture and as a jailor that was his line. Not the only metric, but if they had neck or face tatts, that was it. He/She went on the no trust list.
I trust him, so it's my policy too.

It might help to tell your boss why you're vouching for him.
Maybe he has experience with such matters that he would be better able to make use of if he knows what's going on in his house.
Trust in truth.

Beyound the above post.
You don't owe this guy anything, you've already gone above and beyond. I've dealt with flakey subordinates before and you just need to lay down the law. You basically have and he's failed. So, turn him out.
I would go and tell him why you are 86ing him and tell him that if he gets in a program and can get clean and sober for 6 months, come and see me again.
But know that even if he truly did 6 months clean and sober his chances of staying that way and using the work ethic and talents he has, he likely won't stay that way. It sucks seeing people with potential piss it away. But you can't spend too much energy on people that don't give back. Need to spend that time and energy on the family.
