I think if you dispense with the geneological fallacy and just look at various forms of fascism as they actually existed, you will see it is more of a social response. A nation is like an organism. The folk -- as the fascist would conceive of it -- have a collective will and consciousness. When the folk are threatened, primarily by communists, they respond with something we would colloquially call fascism, even if the particular manifestation of it has little to do with the political origins of the ideology in a strict sense.

In other words, you should separate the ideology from the sociological factors that give rise the phenomenon. The ideology is ostensible and not really that important.

I suspect that, statistically, you will see most men not caring either way about it, and attractive women supportive of it. But unattractive, fat, and old+single women will for shizzle be hardcore against legalized prostitution. And it only takes the group of unattractive women to convince a plurality of men to support their efforts to "protect womenkind" or some other such nonsense to keep it illegal.

All of these nanny state / moral laws that came about after suffrage have everything to do with female power.

The same was true for prohibition as well. That was women voting who made it happen.

If prostitution becomes legal and normalized again, then women are going to be shit out of luck for resources. They all know this at some instinctive level. Unattractive women are going to oppose it for the same reason that weak men support socialism.
