Oh that's nice. Squirrel season over here starts in about 3 weeks. Come on over.

You guys have seasons for squirrels? I thought they were fair game year round on your own property.

Well, fuck me. The communists made it illegal to kill squirrels in North Carolina outside of fall.

We still get to kill those fucking ground hogs with impunity though!

C. 3rd weekend of August to the end of February.

The wildlife management year here starts on March 1. Hunting licenses expire at the end of February with small game season.

Squirrel is a game animal, not like blackbirds, rats, or moles.

The correct word is liberty.

I dunno the legality cus I don't hunt for reals but my buddy has a little cabin/woodshop in the hills just out of town and we blast squirrels all year. With regard to the other animalia, there's tons of rabbits too but I don't care to shoot them cus they'll just let you come up within 5 feet and just sorta stare at you. I don't really want to shoot the coyotes either, I think they're pretty cool to have around, there's no pets or anything out there. A lot of snakes too. I almost stepped on a damn rattle snake a few weeks ago, scared the jeeblers out of me.

The only time the green-truck game warden Barney Fifes give us any trouble in Tennessee is during the federal seasons for migratory birds, doves and waterfowl. Reckon why that could be?
