Well, I guess you didn't read my post, since I addressed your nonsense forthwith.pineapplemike wrote: ↑Mon Jul 30, 2018 6:01 pmI didn't see you address any of my arguments, opinions really, so I hardly consider it beaten. I agree with most of your points, stolen valor is bad, but the Sasha Baron Cohen case seems mild compared to other cases I've seen.Speaker to Animals wrote: ↑Mon Jul 30, 2018 5:37 pmNope. Are you attempting to deflect from your getting beaten in an argument with nonsense? Shame.pineapplemike wrote: ↑Mon Jul 30, 2018 5:35 pm
Are you comparing military service to prostate cancer?
Shame
This is what you're suggesting?:
I would argue, if this were an argument, that SBC has more than earned his reputation for impersonating characters, and I find that his being in a military uniform is irrelevant. When a man lies and acquires honor he does not deserve (stolen valor) he achieves position and responsibility he has not earned, which can cost lives or even a battle.
And the prostate cancer example falls flat because prostate cancer is effectively a death sentence. Watching SBC interview Sarah Palin isn't. Well, maybe to you it is.
The only thing this failed comedian proved was that he is willing to commit stolen valor for money and that people like Sarah Palin are willing to go out of their way to recognize honor of combat veterans.
And the only thing you proved by trying to pretend like this act was okay is that the masks really are coming off.
And, guess what? If this is what your side is about, then don't expect me or quite a lot of your fellow Americans to be seen anywhere near you.
