I don't take it as flippant at all...…… and good for you for tuning out.GloryofGreece wrote: ↑Mon Jul 16, 2018 1:19 pm
Don't take this the wrong way because I don't want to sound sarcastic or flippant. I don't think I've said here before, but over the past 5 years I have deliberately watched/listened/read less and less "news". I selectively (like we all do to one degree or another) read an article here or there and/or listen to a few social/political podcasts and Youtube "clips" etc. So anyway, I really am unaware of any Democratic leader calling for violence or aggressive riots etc. Can you give me a few clear examples. I'm not talking about bloggers/Vloggers/journalist/or college students but actual elected party officials. Thanks.
One of the big deal lately has been Democrat leaders like Maxine Waters telling followers to accost and at least verbally abuse Trump admin folks and Trump followers. Daily there are reports of Trump supporters being marginalized, whether it is getting kicked out of Uber rides for speaking well of Trump or getting beaten. A huge profile story was when Sarah Sanders, Trumps press Sec was refused service at a restaurant.
Then you have the violent wing, which includes Antifa and the Democrat Socialists who have been 'counter protesting' groups like Patriots prayer in Portland. These 'counter protests' end violently when they attempt to stop a legal, scheduled march by Trump supporters.
Twitter, yeah it's Twitter, but they have daily calls for violence against Trump supporters and cool guys like Rand Paul.
I honestly cannot name a single major Democrat that has spoken out against this type of activity. At a miniumum they are supporting this by not coming out and saying. Stop, this is no what we are about.
