Obamas are simply true believers. They are not overly egotistical, they went into a spotlight that all of us would think is a bit too bright and had some reactions to it, but no they are not overly egotistical as people. Overly egotistical ideologically perhaps, as many true believers are.

i think obama bought in pretty heavily into his own cult of personality but i would agree that trump and clinton are more egotistical

Yeah, I've been seeing a lot of articles and interviews with Obama's classmates from Columbia University that said even back in 1980 Barrack was always in it for the cause, he was pictured and reported on leading marches on campus for his cause. Everyone remembers him from those days.
