Colorado's tax revenue from MJ stuff is insane. It was $70 Million in 2015, which is higher than their alcohol tax revenue.
Which is only sustained by the state acting as the leader of a cartel to restrict supply. Which means the war on drugs will continue. The state of Colorado just set themselves up as the only legal mj racket. If anybody tries to cut into their control of the market, the swat teams will still come around shooting people.

It's actually going to be worse, in my opinion. That's far worse.

At first I was like, making a plant illegal is like saying God was wrong, but then I was like, one of the first things God did was make a plant illegal.

Tbf, he made "Knowledge of Good and Evil" illegal, not all apple trees...

You do know that people in Colorado can grow their own plants right? Now if you grow more than you're legally allowed then....well yep....they will come after you. Honestly I think Colorado has the best laws in place for a cannabis market.
Adults aged 21 or older can grow up to six marijuana plants (with no more than half being mature flowering plants) privately in a locked space, legally possess all marijuana from the plants they grow (as long as it stays where it was grown), legally possess up to one ounce of marijuana while traveling, and give as a gift up to one ounce to other citizens 21 years of age or older.

Its not like people haven't been warning about this for years. This is going to be big tobacco 2.0. Get ready for cancer and rat poison in your dope, dope heads.

Or grow your own. It's not that hard and actually easy to hide if you know what the hell you're doing.

And how is that different from prohibition?

Because in prohibition you would have no means to legally get the said items that you wanted.

You're not making sense.

If you're hiding the plant, then it isn't legal. Otherwise why hide it?

In that case the big producers are making tons of money on it, but you'll go to jail if you try to do it.

Remove the speed ghettos dealers like to lace in and replace it with some rat poison tobacco companies use to up the addictiveness, and you've got very little actual difference.

This is why I think we are headed for narco state utopia. Drug abusers are as stupid as a lobster riding a tricycle. It's easier to control.
