Monsanto already controls the food supply, so why not? Monsanto for King of the World, anyone? If we're gonna go down, lets' go down hard. Fuck Monsanto and everything they stand for.TheReal_ND wrote: ↑Mon Jun 11, 2018 3:14 pm
I heard Monsanto has a giant plantation somewhere in South America where they are working on their patented strains. Marijuana, for all the shit I talk about it, has some amazing genetics that are easily altered like no other plant I can think of off the top of my head. I can't wait to learn how Monsanto is fucking it up.

I think patenting seeds is against the rule of God in the first paragraph of Genesis.

Wasn't Bayer helping the Nazi kill the Jews during WWII?
https://www.warhistoryonline.com/war-ar ... -wwii.htmlEveryone has heard of Bayer, the pharmaceutical company that runs aspirin commercials on television. Not everyone knows, however, of Bayer’s dark past.
The successor of pharmaceutical conglomerate IG Farben, the company was a huge donor to Hitler’s electoral campaign and supporter of the Nazis.
IG Farben worked closely with the Nazi party to take over manufacturing plants when the Germans invaded other European countries. IG Farben also held stock in and was represented on the board of the company which produced the gas used in the Holocaust gas chambers.
Some historians have suggested that without IG Farben, Hitler could not have risen to power and there would not have been a second world war.

Are you aware of any movement to make these absurd patents go bye-bye? Public interest should super-cede when it comes to stuff like maintaining a diverse food supply.Fife wrote: ↑Mon Jun 11, 2018 5:03 pmPatents in general are the bastard children of the bastard Hamilton.TheReal_ND wrote: ↑Mon Jun 11, 2018 4:35 pmI think patenting seeds is against the rule of God in the first paragraph of Genesis.

Michael Malice's podcast has just moved over to Gas Digital. In his first new episode he had Stephen Kinsella on.Kath wrote: ↑Tue Jun 12, 2018 6:27 amAre you aware of any movement to make these absurd patents go bye-bye? This is a good introduction to the anti-IP line of thinking.

Problem isn't that patents are bad - problem is SCOTUS and Congress are utterly corrupt....
Without patents...how does a startup prevent itself from being stomped out of existence by Google and friends?
