My sister and her family of 7 moved to South Carolina. They really like it there.

No. It's a horrible place for Californians. Very dangerous and problematic. Look into Texas. I hear Houston is very progressive.

South Carolina elects Trey Gowdy who is literally a Nazi fighting for Drumpf and Putler.

I was offered a job in Aberdeen, NC, about 17 years ago. Had the pleasure to drive there from Jax, FL. It's a stunningly beautiful part of the country. Super friendly people.

I wouldn't go there, the climate doesn't suit me. But I'm surprised you want to keep out conservative family oriented Christians out of the state.
