Good to know you are so much smarter than all the legal scholars who have been having this debate since 2016, when all the liberals were screeching that she should pardon herself the moment she is sworn in as prez. They can't agree, but you are absolutely sure.
Do you think Trump should be allowed to self-pardon?

That's a legal opinion of a lawyer. The president's power to pardon was just written in there with little to check it.Penner wrote: ↑Tue Jun 05, 2018 4:54 pmExpect that back in 1974 the DoJ ruled the president can't pardon himself.https://theweek.com/speedreads/776888/d ... on-himselfHowever, as Bloomberg reporter Steven Dennis pointed out, that wasn't the case at the end of former President Richard Nixon's time in office. "Under the fundamental rule that no one may be a judge in his own case, the president cannot pardon himself," the Department of Justice declared in 1974. The DOJ spelled it out just four days before Nixon resigned, explaining that the president's pardoning power "does not extend to the president himself".
The Constitution is not some magic document written by gods. The whole idea was a mistake.

So you like having a president who can pardon himself of his crimes?Penner wrote: ↑Tue Jun 05, 2018 6:02 pmOh, so wait, are you calling the Constitution a mistake now?Speaker to Animals wrote: ↑Tue Jun 05, 2018 5:24 pmThat's a legal opinion of a lawyer. This is nothing but another gas lighting campaign.
There won't be a pardon because there won't be an indictment.
Jumping ahead to pardon is an attempt to pretend as though their years long derangement is legitimate. Too many people were saying all of this has been a farce, so they're trying to force the impression of legitimacy.

These people are attempting to destroy the foundations of our legal system. The presumption of Innocence.
Because Trump is guilty of beating the establishment game, they have convinced themselves he is guilty of real crimes.
