Pretty cool.
Reusing wood like this isn't new. I've noticed in a lot of older houses that drawers were actualy made from old fruit crates.

Hmmm.
I prefer my drawers (and especially my lady's drawers) made of cotton.

Slaughtered the Beef today.
Hanging Carcass Weight was 577 lbs. Right about where I thought she'd be. Good marbling, she'll hang for about 17 days aging, then I'll butcher.
I shot a couple pics, I'll get them up when I can.

Today- .243 to the head, immediate, painless. The proper shot is a center point on the forehead by visualizing an X with the corners at the eyes and base of ears.
Quartering - Hind Quarters to the right, Front to the left. Youre looking at what would be a bacon on a hog. You can see there is actually marbling in that meat as well. Which means she will be very tasty.
Note: The Yellow Fat is a sign of Grass Fed Beef
