If you point at a block and click the mouse wheel you get that block equipped. Really helps speed up building.

You don't even have to do that much - I just scroll my mouse and it scrolls through the equipment - just stop scrolling on the one you want.

I left that place a long time ago. There is a modern house built not far from the gate I built. Now I am building a new place pretty far out in the styx.
