He thought he was a Martian, turns out he was just a progressive who runs a successful business. That may make his business acumen “Martian-like”, for a progressive, but his socio-political views are nothing to write home about. Especially now.

I mean just because he doesn't bow down to Trump doesn't mean that he is now, "Mainstream", IMO.

On any other topic does he "squawk" on the mainstream media's opinion? I mean if he just so happens to agree about Trump is all, then maybe he is still that "Martian"?

Yeah, I am going to give him the benefit of the doubt that he hasn't become 100% mainstream. He just doesn't like Trump.

He’s not 100% mainstream, he just echos the popular sentiment of the mainstream media 100%, ya know?
Right on.
Right on.

I don't see him as progressive...
He was always more of a libertarian.
Libertarians for the most part aren't down with Trump.
But as a rule they have nothing much interesting to say about his movement.
Trump is about wanting a cohesive us... or as Smitty would say some comfortable national socialism... (I miss that guy.)
But we don't have a clue what "us" means.
The enlightenment project has so completely eroded the "us" that it is a long road back to some kind of tribe.
We long for this thing we used to belong to... and we're pretty much ready to just make something up.
