We should force you to rationalize yours - upon achieving that feat no further societal coercion would be required, since you’d realize it was a dumbass idea.GrumpyCatFace wrote: ↑Fri May 25, 2018 3:32 pmNo. But we should think about forcing them to rationalize their decisions. What do you mean? We implemented "without cause" partially to protect workers. Have you not considered the perverse incentives forcing them to "rationalize" a termination creates?GrumpyCatFace wrote: ↑Fri May 25, 2018 3:32 pmNo. But we should think about forcing them to rationalize their decisions. Right now, if you get terminated, big whoop. You move on with your life and get a job. Force employers to concoct reasons for it, and they will invent them just fine, and the people getting terminated will suffer, even if it is just a strict business decision.
Further, it is my understanding that most terminations that are not lay-offs are due to personal conflicts between individuals, usually a manager and an employee. In those cases, your law would give the manager the opportunity to truly fuck over his victim.

And I was talking more about hiring decisions.
And publishing them, not to be judged by the system, just to inform the worker.

And any other future employer. You don't think these things through.

What we need is more barriers to hiring people. Let’s put more hoops in front of employers and make them jump through before they bring an employee on board. Likewise, a long public record of every job that failed to pan out would be especially handy for employees to drag around with them.
Capital plan, ol, chap.

We already do this for credit. It doesn’t have to be public record, just a note to the applicant.DBTrek wrote: ↑Fri May 25, 2018 4:41 pmWhat we need is more barriers to hiring people.
