Body-cam video shows Mesa police takedown of 84-year-old grandmother
Mesa Police Chief Ramon Batista said he wants to meet with senior-care professionals to better understand the "unique needs" of older people after an 84-year-old woman was injured in an encounter with his officers.
The woman's family said police initially told them the stroke survivor and grandmother had slipped. Newly-released body camera footage by the Mesa Police Department shows otherwise.
Video of the Valentine's Day encounter released Wednesday shows an officer grabbing her by the arm and taking her down. Ashley Hahn, the woman's granddaughter, created a Facebook post with photos showing the extent of her injuries, which included bruising to the woman's arms and face.

This body cam thing did not go the way a lot of people thought it would.

Re: Good Cop, Bad Cop: Law Enforcement Thread
At this stage, where people have pretty much decided it's all fine and good to try to wreck someone else's life in some social vendetta, I don't think this whole civil society game really exists anymore.
The whole concept of it was that we aren't allowed to go after each other to exact vengeance or seek redress from unwilling participants in whatever arena they choose, but instead to restrict it only to the legal system.
It seems like everyone has changed their minds on that point. If it's open season to go after people, person to person, or mob to person, I'm dropping my limitations for what the people on the receiving end can do in response.
Target a cop and his family online with a lie that could see him landed in jail were it not for the video evidence that proves you're lying? He can kill you. I'm fine with it. Folks shoulda learned to behave better.

Arizona Cop Beats Up Blind Man in Bathroom, Arrests Him, Because He Accidentally Ran Into Him
Blind bastard is lucky this cop didn't feel threatened. At least he didn't get his brains splashed into a urinal.
