Maybe I'll just move to Aberdeen.

I live in Bremerton.
$1400 for a 2 bedroom apartment.
3 roomates.
Aberdeen is like $500, and near the coast. I'm like eh... I dunno. It's tempting. Then again with the benefits I'm getting from working at this grocery store, maybe I move to Vancouver Wa and work there? Dunno. Choices.
(I hear they're paying $20 an hour for picking grapes in Northern California though.

There are grocery stores everywhere. Why in the hell would you choose to live in the middle of an expensive city if you work in a grocery store??
What circuit breakers in your brains have been pulled that you don't see the problem here?

I bet I have better health insurance than anyone here.
If I stay here for five years and get promoted to full time, that's 25/hr.
With ESOP as well, someone just retired a millionaire. (1.5 is what she told me before she left.)
I pay $30 a month for 20/80 insurance with max payout for me is like 1k. Somone had a family member get sick, spent time in a hospital and bill came out to be 104k. They paid $940. Just went and got a brand new pair of glasses, everything together including eye exam was $10. Doctor visits? $20. Got prescriptions and dental cards as well.
I thought about going other places or trying to advance my skills, but with benefits this good? I dunno man. Still in school anyways, getting more skills and they're encouraging it, willing to work with me and I get 40hr a week, paid sick leave (which is Washington mandated, 1hr every 40 hours worked), got a week of paid vacation in a month on my 1yr anniversary.
And my bosses aren't assholes, which is nice.

Few reasons. It's beautiful. Just plain beautiful. I'm looking out my window right now and dyam. The weather is nice, sure it's overcast a lot of the time but still, weather is real nice. Nerd capitol of the world, you throw a stone and you'll hit a D&D group, they're everywhere. I definitely like living here, except ofc for the SJW infestation, but besides that, with decent roommates, it's a real nice place to live.nmoore63 wrote: ↑Mon May 21, 2018 8:46 pmI have a friend that lives over thereSpeaker to Animals wrote: ↑Mon May 21, 2018 8:35 pmThere are grocery stores everywhere. What are you, 35?
What kind of health insurance do you think you need?
Run four days per week, do strength exercises three to four days per week, and eat whole foods. There ain't no better health insurance than that.
Staying in an untenable situation because of your "health insurance" really smacks of a rationalization to avoid facing some cognitive dissonance of some kind.

And it's a nice place to work while I go to school.
