Have We Lost Something
Having passed through the crucible of the NHL Hockey Spam Uprising, I sense something different about the board.
Certain members have always been nasty, and continue to be, but things seem to have taken a turn everywhere. Much more back-biting and insults than there used to be, and personal attacks.
Has something changed, or is it just me?

You seem to be getting especially targeted.

You’re a better debater now. Maybe that has something to do with it? Or just weird politics is causing everybody to be weird?

I’ve been off my game a bit, being more vague than usual. I don’t have time to source things much, or really get in depth.Martin Hash wrote: ↑Mon May 21, 2018 6:48 pmYou’re a better debater now. Maybe that has something to do with it? Or just weird politics is causing everybody to be weird?
It’s not just me though. I think you’re right about the politics getting people weird. The lines are hardening, and independents are being demonized, along with the Other Side.

Easier to insult than construct a valid argument.
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

GCF has been guy guessing more than usual lately. His trust in his own filters and prejudices still surprises me. I never dare to post a fact here before checking it up first. Always baffled by how many of my truths I have to abandon on inspection.

I've noticed an uptick in the number of silly things you say, Grumpy. Maybe that's it?
Also, I've started to use the ignore feature; I simply no longer have the desire to read the same insulting garbage from the same people, over and over and over again. No longer seeing it is certainly enhancing my forum experience.

Why are all the Gods such vicious cunts? Where's the God of tits and wine?

A lot of cognitive dissonance going on here.
