Re: A Discussion: Needle Exchanges
Rather than spending money on cleaning unwanted shit off the streets how about building a few more public toilets.
Or is that just encouraging people to have a shit?

For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

Re: A Discussion: Needle Exchanges
We are seeing the IRL rewriting of Fahrenheit 451.
In our version we are replacing the firemen with sanitation workers. Rather than burning books, our sanitation workers detain and arrest anyone who interferes with public defecation, shooting up in public, and/or chunking AIDS needles into the alley or playground.
Maybe we'll have a Montag who figures out a way to stand up to the bums; both the bums shitting in our streets and the bums in their porcelain tower lording over us.

I love thinking about the the kid in the future looking back on the fucking dystopic nightmare of shitstained bums shooting up all over the shitstained streets, while bullets crack off from the armies of fatherless welfare wards, and the overgrown facades of the former places of work crumble down because the locals have driven away everyone capable of leaving, and the kid asks, "and they STILL didn't realize it wasn't working?"

As long as he doesn't cast any moral judgments about this behavior, I think they will approve of him anyway.Okeefenokee wrote: ↑Sat May 19, 2018 10:46 amI love thinking about the the kid in the future looking back on the fucking dystopic nightmare of shitstained bums shooting up all over the shitstained streets, while bullets crack off from the armies of fatherless welfare wards, and the overgrown facades of the former places of work crumble down because the locals have driven away everyone capable of leaving, and the kid asks, "and they STILL didn't realize it wasn't working?"

Only stops when you run out of other people's money.
Then you're Detroit.

I suspect one of the big disease vectors in the big cities is public toilets that were used by bums
