I'm actually thinking about making one. I have more than enough not to notice, it could hang until the holiday season. I'll make a decision after I have bacons cured. The Ham will be just in the middle of it's initial salt curing.

Make yourself a cold smoker for some lovely ham and bacon. Do you have any apple wood?

I'm going to put together a smoker, I've been looking for an old commercial fridge to make into a smoker to no avail. So I may go old school and just put together a wooden one, unfortunately they are not pest proof like steel bodied fridges. I really like cold smoking it needs to happen.

I need to get a photo sharing site up. This side of bacon is fantastic, fine marbling, about 70% lean, and huge because it's a little older hog.

Old steel lockers make good cabinets.
I've been meaning to build one for years. I've even got a large galvanized hot cupboard to use and a mate with a huge pile of apple wood. Just never seem to get the time.

I was going to respond but a little one looked over my shoulder and said “Ooooh wait! Wait!! I saw something with fire!” ... so I wound up watching the animated gif in your signature for five mins instead.

It’s usually the best best part of his posts. Let’s hope no one will find it offensive.
