I’d warn against GCFs edits on the grounds that saying “subsidize” is going to alienate financial moderates and saying “voucher” will alienate many Democrats invested in the public school system. “Subsidize” May only hurt you with moderates, but “voucher” is probably going to get you core democrat backlash.

Or, I could be wrong. But why drop loaded words into this pamphlet when the best scenario case is no one is alienated, and all other results are all downhill from there?

Well, he already had 'subsidize' in there on another topic. It's best to be clear about what the actual plan is, rather than "I support" X. That could mean anything or nothing at all.

Also, he's running as a Democrat, I believe. They love subsidies.

To avoid looking like a Bernie liberal, I'd suggest adding some more patriotic "values" language in here as well, tho.
SJWs are a natural consequence of corporatism.

I live in this Congressional District. I started multiple businesses, and raised my family here for almost four decades.
I like that, and would suggest dropping the comma in the second sentence. That comma cuts off "multiple businesses" from the most important adjective "here" and the excellent prepositional phrase "for almost four decades."

I live in this Congressional District. I started multiple businesses and raised my family here for almost four decades.

or:

I live in this Congressional District. I started multiple businesses here and raised my family here for almost four decades.

In either case, cut the comma and this statement about residence packs a punch.

Does it have to be paragraph format? Seconding Kath’s suggestion about bullets, but if you can’t have separate lines then use large bullets and extra spaces to separate each item. Also be sure to put your points in order of importance - many voters won’t read through to the end or even pick up bolder or larger font points if they don’t come at the beginning.

What would you say was the order of importance?

I don’t know your voters or what’s most important to you in your district. If a district has been suffering from corruption, your independence would be important. If you have a ton of commuters getting slammed with a commuter tax, that would probably be their biggest concern. Business experience is important if the area is having a financial crisis or is chaotic.

"My specific issues are: Fight against Oregon tolls and taxation on Washington residents. Increase the size of the Middle Class by shifting the federal tax burden up which pushes income down. Make being married a tax and social advantage. Provide Daycare and encourage having children. Give students a choice of how to be educated with vouchers, including self-paced online schooling at home. Subsidize entry-level jobs, and remove the social burden of employees from Small Business. Insist on Balanced Trade with tariffs if necessary. Medicare for anyone but contain costs with buying power. Government debt is uncontrollable; time to create a new understanding of money that matches modern usage. I have spoken about all of these things on my bi-daily podcast so I comprehend what each entails.

I am competent, dedicated, incorruptible, and absolutely promise to reject undue influence from money or Special Interests.

I live, started a business, and raised my family in this Congressional District."

Any spelling or grammatical corrections, or other suggestions?

Pros
Reduction of Tolls and Taxation :)
Subsidize entry-level jobs - Subsidies not my favorite, but this isn't a bad place for them :|
Balanced Trade :D
uncontrollable; time to create a new understanding of money
Mentioning the Podcast

Cons
Provide Daycare :hand:
Tax the Rich - I'm a Flat Tax guy :snooty:

Uncertain
How do you Tax Marriage and make it a Social Advantage :?
Have more kids - We don't need more Left Coast Kids

A little too Progress for me, but I understand your Constituency :shhh:
PLATA O PLOMO

I like what you are going for with the last sentence, but am uncertain about "this congressional district"

Any way you can say "this congressional district" without saying it like that?

For example, were I to say that idea, I would use a phrase more like "live, work, blah, blah in the Columbia Basin"

Congressional District just sounds a little too Hilary Clinton carpet bag form letter.

Is there a better colloquial/geographic term for your area that more local people use?
