Crushing the productive people in your community, that's a good plan.
Does anyone think that after 30 years of taking in these increased taxes Chicago is going to be disciplined, pay down their underwater pensions and reduce taxes...................
If your 30 years old with a good job and a new home, your going to bailout, just like the California exodus.

Illinoisans: "I'll take 'none of the above,' bitches. I'll check the news in Texas every now and then to see how the pensions are working out for you."Illinoisans are inevitably going to have to pay higher taxes to fix the pension problem, the economists write. In the paper, they ask: "Would you rather pay your higher taxes through a higher sales, income or property tax?"

People who are attacked with these tax schemes are exactly the ones with the financial mobility to leave. When will these people learn that these plans are fruitless?

They will not. They are still doing it in Detroit after they basically killed the city.California wrote: ↑Tue May 15, 2018 7:48 amPeople who are attacked with these tax schemes are exactly the ones with the financial mobility to leave. When will these people learn that these plans are fruitless?
Liberalism is a kind of social disease, not a legitimate political ideology.

They don't understand that people quite often vote with their feet.
My wife was in an intenable situation with her job. She was working in an environmentally dangerous building and management wouldn't do anything about it, so we just moved. Both of us changed jobs and we did it in just a few months. My wifes health was worth more than that. We tried to work with them for nearly a year. We were able to do it because we were financially mobile.
When you understand your in a bad relationship, just cut ties and get out. Move on with your life.

Doesn't look like everyone is an Obama fan in Chicago. A public parks advocacy group is suing to stop the construction of the Obama Social Justice Mega-Center and Presidential Library.

For the political left, the solution is always take money from others.
The solution is never hold government accountable for money it is already taking.
Doesn’t take a genius to see where that road leads. But then again, the political left isn’t exactly full of geniuses.
