My Voter's Pamphlet Issues (U.S. House Candidate)
"My specific issues are: Fight against Oregon tolls and taxation on Washington residents. Increase the size of the Middle Class by shifting the federal tax burden up which pushes income down. Make being married a tax and social advantage. Provide Daycare and encourage having children. Give students a choice of how to be educated with vouchers, including self-paced online schooling at home. Subsidize entry-level jobs, and remove the social burden of employees from Small Business. Insist on Balanced Trade with tariffs if necessary. Medicare for anyone but contain costs with buying power. Government debt is uncontrollable; time to create a new understanding of money that matches modern usage. I have spoken about all of these things on my bi-daily podcast so I comprehend what each entails.
I am competent, dedicated, incorruptible, and absolutely promise to reject undue influence from money or Special Interests.
I live, started a business, and raised my family in this Congressional District."
Any spelling or grammatical corrections, or other suggestions?

That's not the actual wording you want to put on the pamphlet, right?Martin Hash wrote: ↑Tue May 15, 2018 6:06 am"My specific issues are: Fight against Oregon tolls and taxation on Washington residents. "shifting the federal tax burden up" means "more taxes" to a low-info voter.
"Provide daycare" is way too vague, and sounds like Free Daycare for All.
Medicare sentence is too vague

If you want women to be our equals in the workplace, then you have to provide day care for everybody somehow.

Bullet points, instead of a long paragraph.
Negative space on pamphlets helps grab the eye.

They don’t allow more than 6 “paragraphs” and they call <CR> paragraphs.

Lame. Look for a way to make bullet points within the confines of a long paragraph.Martin Hash wrote: ↑Tue May 15, 2018 7:36 amThey don’t allow more than 6 “paragraphs” and they call <CR> paragraphs.
My specific issues are: Taxation: Fight against Oregon tolls and taxation on Washington residents. Middle Class: Increase the size of the Middle Class by shifting the federal tax burden up which pushes income down. Marriage: Make being married a tax and social advantage.
Etc. If color changes or size changes are allowed, utilize those as well.

Looks good to me, especially compared to the lunacy I just received in my voter pamphlet

I might rework the last sentence. Instead of “I have spoken about all of these things on my bi-daily podcast so I comprehend what each entails“ I’d go with something like - For more insight on how I would address these and other problems listen to my bi-daily podcast at MartinHash.com
It gets the same message across without you blatantly stating “I know these issues and I podcast”. It’s more of an invitation for voters to engage with your site and listen to your work while also implicitly stating that you understand the material.
