Don't ascribe that shit to me. For twenty pages I've said that certain behaviors are harmful. But acknowledging that would wound some pride, so would rather than admit it, lets just keep lying more and more and more.Where did I say sexual liberation was a self evident good? The dude is literally everything he tells other people not to be, just another fornicating hypocrite, screaming about demographic winters, not taking responsibility for himself.Speaker to Animals wrote: ↑Sun May 13, 2018 7:14 am
For example, docloliday tried to make the sexual liberation seem like some self-evident good that doesn't harm anybody. But it does. We have HUGE numbers of single mothers now raising thugs and degenerates, literally burning cities down across America. They soak up ever more public resources to pay for the consequences of sex outside of marriage. These are costs of immoral behavior that we all have to bear.
Why are you conservative, why are you liberal, why are you independent?

Mostly, I agree. The problem is trying to run a country on such a principle. There is no doubt that if everyone sat around drinking all day, society would be harmed. But a lot of people drink to excess sometimes. The law has to be consistent and fair. I think the pressure to be a non-harming individual should come from the family and community. This whole thread is bizarre. Virtually everyone agrees that there exists harmful behaviors and that we shouldn't ban them, yet it wouldn't be wise not to do them.TheReal_ND wrote: ↑Sun May 13, 2018 12:28 amIf you harmed yourself your little nieces and nephews wouldnt get the benefit of having a cool math teacher. Harming yourself has grrater consequences on wider society. If you drop your white knighting against puritanical prohibition for a second just imagine with me a society where decency laws were still on the books and jews hadnt successfully neutered them in the name of "free speech." That is a more wholesome society. Nobody's rights are being offended. Society is just sane.

Its really simple, and it doesn't require government
You simply make degenerate behavior morally abhorrent without being illegal. The herd mentality of people means that the vast majority of people won't do something morally abhorrent whether it is against the law or not. Laws don't stop people from doing what they want, morality does

20 pages of masturbating in the mirror and my original point has been vindicated by all.

It's funny that after legislating christians are dealt defeat after defeat they finally come up with this stance. Well duh! This should have been your stance in the beginning!Speaker to Animals wrote: ↑Sun May 13, 2018 2:15 pmThank you.California wrote: ↑Sun May 13, 2018 2:05 pmIts really simple, and it doesn't require government

I don't want to determine your culture for you. You should be perfectly within your rights to say "Hey, I don't approve of that, I'm going to not invite you into my home if you have purple hair, or if you're adam and steve, or if you chop off your dick and take estrogen, or if you normalize everything I despise." I vehemently disagree with people getting fired for not calling people by their "appropriate" pronoun. That's bat shit crazy. What I also disagree with is people saying "Oh, well you can't sell alchohol on Sundays because of religion" or "gay people can't get married, because of religion."
Now if a private employer wants to fire someone because they find it morally reprehensible that you didn't call Frank a she, even though Frank is the manliest man you've ever come across, well that's their prerogative, isn't it? That's them setting up their own morals, and enforcing them through not hiring/firing people who don't agree with them.
I imagine the perfect United States to be similar to Europe in its diversity. Washington State shouldn't be like Texas. Portland shouldn't be like Alabama. Different people, different culture. Hell, I don't even think it's necessary to speak the same language. Sure, we come together in times where we need to protect ourselves as a nation, and if a storm devastates your area, we should help each other out (vice versa as well) but you know what? You get your own culture. You get to live the life in the culture you choose.

All I need to do is bring up the morality issue and the liberals make all the examples I need to show.
