Punchlines often work best when they are totally expected, and don't surprise anyone. Please keep your observations normal for better comedy.

I legit know a conservative who thought Colbert's act was real. Similar to the way my dad thought Carroll O'Connor was a hero for taking a stand against lefties.

I don’t think conservatives or liberals have a lock on “stupid people”.

Although ... one of those ideologies disagrees, and builds its membership on the idea that they’re the educated elite and their opponents are dummies and religious fanatics.
