The debacle called the US policy towards the Syrian civil war is logical consequence of a mismanaged and failed overall policy in the Middle East. From the time of CENTO, the US grasp has been failing: first the US had the Baghdad Pact, then it had twin pillars, the dual containment. The it went of the rails with the invasion of Iraq in 2003 altogether. Now the US is totally clueless. What better way to demonstrate this was By giving the Middle East policy to Jared Kushner.
