Neocons are of course greatest friends of right-wing Israelis. Not so with leftist or centrist Israel.

Add to that how Trump, or in this case Jared Kushner..., has dealt with Saudi-Arabia.

Now the Saudi-Qatar rift is actually itself a great example of how bad Obama was in the Middle East. Just imagine if Nato allies like England and France would start arming different sides in some conflict and giving financial aid to different political groups in a country.

For the US the logical step would be take the lead here ...when the countries do assume that they are allies of the US (with Qatar having CENTCOM's main base there). Actually Tillerson did echo this view called to ease of the tension between the two side, but that of course wasn't the official policy in a Trump administration. As the Saudi's and the UAE have Jared Kushner (or his father) in their pocket, no wonder that then Trump echoes slavishly the Saudi viewpoint and accuses Qatar of funding terrorism (as if the Saudi's wouldn't have done that).

Oh, they are all surely Zionists (even if there are post-Zionists too, even if the term is usually used as a derogatory term by the right-wing Zionists). And anyway, why wouldn't Israelis be for the existence of the modern state of Israel?

But in truth there are differences. Revisionist Zionism which Bibi Netanyahu's party is about is different from Liberal Zionism and especially Labor Zionism, which is for restarting talks with the Palestinians.
