If you expect politicians to be saints, you are going to go through life awfully disappointed simply because the you refuse to view the world as it is, instead of the way you think that it should be. Realpolitik, learn some, stop analyzing only from a position of idealism, that's your problem, not mine. My "Trump Whisperer" powers merely derive from not expecting him to be a saint, and expecting him to act like a politician instead, that's literally it. The reason you don't get Trump, is because you refuse to measure him against the standard of a politician, and instead measure him against your ideals.

What Kath calls "licking ass" is simply not expecting politicians to act like saints, and instead expecting them to act in their own self-interest. She cannot view politics through any lens other than naive idealism, and thus every politician's actions are confusing to her, because that's not the way politics work, obviously.
